I also agree that there needs to be some distinction bweteen new and established sites and that it should not be left up to the sellers conscience alone. This is something that the flippa staff needs to take charge of before the respect bweteen buyers and sellers is possibly compromised or even lost. We don't want anymore ebay sob stories. As a reputable member of this community I am somewhat concerned that dishonest folks will be attempting to mislead potential buyers by taking advantage of this new unregulated feature. And make no mistake, I do realize that buyers should do their own due diligence prior to purchasing any domain here, established or not, however it could be limited to flippa's verifiable on page stats and visible proof rather than having to investigate claims of a sites age, traffic, pr, etc(these are some of the main reasons I use flippa instead of others).I think this in the end, if not addressed, could lead to a loss of our trustworthy members and at the same time open the door for dishonest ones.Hope this doesn't backfire on ya.. My 2 Cents.Hmmmmm?Shane aka~ Luv2BBQ

Dave, If the buyer and seller are ibalpcnae of engaging in constructive dialogue via email then they are ibalpcnae of engaging in constructive dialogue. Having another venue where they can talk to each other doesn't make them any better at doing the talking. This looks simply like a way to keep the discussion within Flippa so you can know if a deal has been reached.Nothing wrong with wanting to know when a deal is completed so you can charge the success fees, but you could have been honest and explained that the core reason for this feature is to spy on the progress of the negotiations. It seems to me that buyers and sellers wanting to do any negotiation post-auction are best off doing it privately via email. There are good reasons:1. It's private. PMs here aren't private and Flippa staff have access to them (and likely read them on a regular basis)2. Flippa doesn't need to know what discussions transpired and there is a competitive disadvantage to disclosing too much via the Flippa PM system (sure, you are all honest chaps, but why take the chance of a rogue employee? Worse, it could be a hacker as you had a few months ago)3. The Flippa PM system has been down for me, on and off, for large parts of the last three days. Buyers and sellers can't have a constructive dialogue that way! Even if you fix it, why rely on Flippa's PMs when you can use your own reliable email service, have the ability to have real time chats if you're using something like yahoo, ms or gmail, have the ability to send attachments etc?4. If the parties decide to complete the sale in private they can choose whether to disclose this to Flippa or not.I suggest that buyers and sellers serious about discussing the sale have no good reason to use your feature over regular email.
